ABOUT: Development Plan Summary
In a short time, the MPC has made its mark on Massachusetts and brought clarity and focus to the discussion of film production in the state. For the past several years prior to the MPC's organization, confusion and tension within the state and skepticism and wariness from national studios have dominated the landscape and created an inertia that has seen the production industry atrophy and witnessed major films and smaller productions go elsewhere.
Now, in just over a year of company and individual leaders mobilizing and taking on public policy issues and industry priorities, a new day is on the horizon. The MPC's early track record is all the more notable due to the volunteer and grassroots way the Coalition's leaders went about making change.
