We're only now just recovering from the event of the year - our 2007 WRAP PARTY! Sponsored by the MFO, MPC, AFTRA & SAG, IATSE Local 481, and Teamsters Local 25, the event saw some 650 members of our production community in attendance to celebrate the great work we've all accomplished in 2007. We also toasted what will surely be an even more successful 2008.
The event, held at the Park Plaza Castle was electric, featuring fantastic Sinatra and Beatles tribute bands. But most impressive was the unparalleled networking opportunities. Many of the attendees I spoke with relayed how they reconnected with friends and colleagues they hadn't seen in years. Personally, it was very gratifying to see such a large contingent of our production community represented. Writers, producers, performers, crew, and drivers all gathered together not only to celebrate the feats of 2007, but to talk shop about their newest projects, form new relationships, and ready themselves for what promises to be another record setting year in 2008.
